During this season, while we are safer-at-home, I have grieved the losses of many aspects of our lives. In particular, even my own spiritual rhythms of connecting with God have been forced to change, but in that change has come new growth. I did a 4-minute video for you to share more about this.

I hope to share more with you about how to continue to nurture your relationship with God, or if you are new to faith, help you begin to sense God’s presence, work and care for you. So, I am offering a class, “Starting from Scratch: Creating New Rhythms with Trusted Spiritual Disciplines.” It will be a five-week class, starting Sunday July 26 from 7:30 to 8:45 pm, via Zoom. We will explore seven traditional spiritual discipline categories: worship, creation, spiritual friendship, Scripture, practical helps, incarnational justice and prayer.

All Christ-followers are called to engage in each of these spaces, but we are made unique, and so, different spiritual practices in each of these categories will work best for different people. The goal of the class will be to aid each person in learning what practices help them connect best with the presence of God in this season. The class format will involve small group discussion, as well as learning from different pastors, and mid-week reflection activities.
