Sometimes distance brings people closer together.

In a moment’s notice, our families, students, and teachers had to pivot this year. They could do so because of years of generosity from the PVI community; those who supported the launch of the laptop program, invested in professional development, and gave so that others could have access to a PVI education through financial aid.

Wednesday, April 22 is PVI's Day of Giving. We never thought when we planned it, printed materials for it, and prepared to launch it that the circumstances for PVI, and the global community, would be what they are.

After much thought, we decided to move forward with the Day of Giving. We do so knowing that these are times defined by uncertainty for many. However, one thing remains certain; when the PVI community sees a need, they step in to lift up one another. As an alumna, employee, and future parent, I have seen this first-hand.

This year, we host our Day of Giving for those who have asked, “How can I help?” and with prayers for those who may be needing the help. We are grateful for those in the PVI community who are in a position to provide financial support today, and for those of you who are simply able to spread the word. While many hearts are heavy, ours are also overwhelmed by the kindness and compassion that defines the PVI spirit.

We are together, even when we are apart. We are resilient, with compassionate hearts. We are better, because of you.
