Dear Lower School Families,
I miss all of you especially in the morning at drop off when I open your car doors, see your smiles and get my hugs! I also miss your stories and coming into your classrooms to see what you are doing.
Your teachers worked really hard to get you ready for your online learning at home. On Monday you began having school at your house. While you are at home for school, don’t forget the character words we have been learning and using at school this year.
Caring & Kindness - Be caring and kind to the adult that is helping you with your schoolwork. I know most are not teachers so this is a new job for them. Don’t forget your “please” and “thank yous”.
Self-Control - When you get frustrated please do not take it out on the person that is trying to help you. You need to relax, take deep breaths and if needed, walk away for a few minutes.
Responsibility - Take ownership of your classwork and follow the instructions the teacher gave you. If you have due dates it is your responsibility to see that they are met.
Perseverance - I expect all of you to have the determination and complete the work that your teacher assigned. To succeed in life you need to work hard.
Parents, please hang in there. This is new territory for all of us. Like I told the children if you get frustrated please relax, take in some deep breaths and walk away if needed!
I can’t wait to see all of you again and parents, I bet you are going to be just as excited to see us again, too!
