Václav Janeček je prorektor pro studijní záležitosti, pedagog a taneční mistr. V letech 1982-2000 byl sólistou Laterny magiky, od roku 2000 je zde dramaturgem a tanečním mistrem a v roce 1998 se stal dramaturgem baletu Národního divadla v Praze. Soustavně se věnuje pedagogické činnosti, a to nejen na HAMU, ale i na jiných českých i zahraničních vysokých školách, akademiích či v tanečních souborech. Zároveň je autorem několika odborných publikací, např. Metodika klasického tance pro umělecké školy, Tělo a tanec, Ozvěny tance a Laterna magika-divadlo zázraků. Jako asistent choreografie, dramaturg nebo spoluautor se podílel na mnoha tanečních a baletních projektech, televizních dokumentech a divadelních inscenacích.
Václav Janeček is the Vice-rector for Study and Education Affairs, a teacher and a dance master. He was a Laterna magika soloist in 1982–2000, has been a dramaturge and a dance master there since 2000 and became the dramaturge of Prague’s National Theatre Ballet Company in 1998. He teaches consistently at HAMU as well as at other Czech and international tertiary schools, academies and dance troupes. He wrote several publications such as the Methodology of Classic Dancing for Art Schools, Body and Dance, Echoes of Dance, and Laterna magika – a Miracle Theatre. As an assistant choreographer, dramaturge and co-author, he was involved in many dance and ballet projects, TV documentaries and theatre plays.
