In the computer game "Trinkspiel" the goal is to bring an avatar through the desert. The controller in this case is a drinking bottle. As long as the player drinks, the avatar is moving. If the bottle is put down, the avatar stops, starts to sweat and finally dies. With this experimental computer game a direct connection of the two worlds of experience (the physical and the digital) is created. If the "real" bottle in the physical world is empty, the game in the digital world is game over, too.

The project is a result of the class Technology II – Experimental Interfaces by Moritz Schell. A class to teach technical and programming basics to students.

In the class experimental interfaces we are searching for new, unfamiliar and creative interfaces to the computer. Students develop hardware elements using the possibilities of physical computing and a matching counterpart, programmed in the coding environment processing.
