Thoracolumbar spine injuries are ruptures in the thoracic and lumbar regions. Besides some major and minor injuries, thoracolumbar spine injuries can cause neurological injury. In addition to this, treatment modality of fractures of the transverse processes, flexion-compression injury, is Jack-knife injury is discussed in detail. Discussion continues on neurapraxia, cord transection root transection, and incomplete cord injury syndromes categorized as neurological injury.

THORACOLUMBAR INJURY
The area ranging from T11 to L2 is the area where most of the thoracolumbar spine injuries occur. After that, underlying reasons are discussed that lead to the categorization of fractures into low-energy fractures, minor fractures and high-energy fractures. Then compression injuries are pursued. Likewise, chance fracture also known as seat belt injury is highlighted. Treatment aspect is discussed later on.

MAJOR AND MINOR INJURIES
Primarily, information about fractures of the transverse processes is given. This is followed by fractures of the pars interarticularis in which disc prolapse is most often a cause of injury. After that flexion-compression injury is pursued in which severe spinal flexion is seen. Carrying on with the discussion, axial compression or burst injury is highlighted. Moreover, light is shed on Chance Injury also known as Jack-knife injury or seat-belt fracture. Treatment aspect of all these fractures is extensively delineated in the lecture.

NEUROLOGICAL INJURY
Neurapraxia is a neural injury characterized by motor paralysis. After that, cord transection is reported along with root transection. Likewise, incomplete cord injury syndromes including central cord syndrome, anterior cord syndrome, posterior cord syndrome, and Brown-séquard syndrome are discussed diagrammatically. Proceeding onward, elaboration is given about management of traumatic paraplegia and quadriplegia.
