we are so much part of the system that it is impossible to see beyond it, fakeness has become hypernormal. an objective perception of reality per sé is impossible.
the glimpse creates an immersive environment that you can immerse yourself in and be drawn into. it is an everlasting phenomenon, always reconfiguring and morphing. is not classifiable, ambiguous, complex, cross, rebellious, uncomfortable - a place of discovery, but also of confusion.
the process of changing the perception of the so calles "reality" is examined in the VR experience. the glitches act as a filter of this "reality", through which you can access a form of "knowledge" that is otherwise hidden. they are lens that detach us from idea of the space as we know it and, through a process of un-learning, give us the opportunity to learn the environment in unexpected uncanny ways. every new reality of the VR experience acts as a filter for the previous one, both visually and acoustically.
to search for the hypokeimenon is to search for that substance which persists in a thing going through change, the „underlying thing"
