J. Gresham Machen presents a clear and fairly simple thesis in his book, Christianity and Liberalism. The modern world has changed dramatically since the time of Christ's death and resurrection. How then, is it possible in the age of science to hold onto these beliefs, particularly supernaturalism? Machen argues that liberalism is not merely a different form of Christianity; it is a different religion.
