“Big Life Fix” is a television series in which Ireland’s leading inventors, designers, engineers and technology experts create ingenious solutions for people hit by illness, accidents or disability.
In the series, a connected smart chair is designed for Jacinta, who is living with Alzheimer's. The chair allows for independent interaction with technology, enabling her to listen to audio books, radio and music, with ease and comfort.
Design Partners role in the project was to make the chair concept real through the integration of design, engineering, user experience and prototyping.
Concept created by Accenture’s The Dock. Designed in collaboration with Design Partners and Amazon.
