This is the story by Ndeenga Shamata, a Graduate at the University of Dar-Es-Salaam, Tanzania, a B.A. in Geography and Environmental Studies. She is the only girl and one of 20 children in family and proudly the first person in her village to pursue higher education.Since returned home she found the courage to address some of issues in maasai community;she speaks about the importance of education and created community dialogues with the hope to reduce the phenomena of female genital mutilation.
