Based on the original short film “Small Town Invasion” produced in 2005. The original film began as a family project to do with my family. The project grew and was finish in the summer of 2005. The story of a family’s efforts to save the world and battle an invading alien race.
Originally shot in High 8mm standard definition, and assemble using Avid DV Express with an S-Video Capture Card. Much footage was borrowed from the internet to add the alien invasion scenes.
In the 2020 reboot, nearly all of the added space ship scenes were replaced with original animations. The actual ships are green screen samples from the internet. The entire project was re-imagined and 3 new original sound tracks produced by Ryan Manuel enhance the story.
A companion film, “Interview with The Monster” provides a rare opportunity to learn more from the leader of the invading alien race. In the 2020 release, the “Interview” is added to the revised film.
