Welcome to American Heritage Charter Schools, where flexible educational options set your student up for success in a community of excellence and camaraderie.

Since 1996 American Heritage Charter Schools have offered free, public education with a small school experience in Escondido. We offer a range of programs for Kindergarten through twelfth grade students, including dynamic classroom learning, personalized and one on one instruction, and flexible hybrid options at all grade levels. Our full-time educators are experts in their fields and are committed to connecting with students to ensure their success.

All of our learning options prepare students for college and provide them with meaningful career preparation. The educational philosophy of American Heritage Charter Schools builds on the classical model, where learning focuses on important values and traditions from the past in order to discover a new understanding of the present and future. This is not only a mental exercise, but also a character-building experience that brings young people into a conversation with the most significant books, art, and thinkers in history. As a result, students learn critical thinking skills and understand the relevance of and real-world connections to what happens in the classroom.

Athletic teams and arts programs promote character development and personal growth, individually and as a member of a team. Our educators work to equip young people to become active and engaged citizens who participate in our democracy and improve the world around them, starting here in Escondido.
