On 13th February The Bays launched the 2020 Health & Wellbeing Program with a session on skin cancer awareness and sun safety.
Mr Mathew Lee, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon along with Cancer Councils Community Education team presented on the different types of skin cancers, cancer prevention & monitoring as well as warning signs and treatment.
Murrindindi formally opened the evening with a Welcome to Country, performing a traditional song and playing digeridoo. Murrindindi spoke passionately about respect for the individual and the importance of equality.
The Bays Health and Wellbeing Program aims to improve people’s health by addressing the underlying causes of health problems. Dedicated to improving healthcare in our local community, all sessions are offered free of charge.
