The Tastefully Tempe series episode highlights Ghost Ranch, a popular Tempe restaurant that celebrates the unique flavors of Southwestern cuisine. Chef Rene Andrade and Chef Roberto Centeno are cousins who were raised in Nogales in Sonora, Mexico. At Ghost Ranch, they have created a menu that combines the cooking techniques that were passed down to them from their families, which inspired dishes like Shrimp Aguachile and Grilled Trout. According to Chef Andrade, “Mexican food equals heart, passion, technique (and) time.” Their menu honors ingredients from Sonora, especially the chiltepin pepper, and local vegetables, chiles and produce from Arizona.
