With the agri and food supply chains being relooked on account of recent global pandemic, the existing supply chains will continue to evolve.

At the country level, faster modes will be needed to satisfy customer requirements. Instant delivery will be possible if products are brought directly to the consumer from production area. The last mile delivery would need to ensure reliability and flexibility.

The innovation and new technologies being developed are mostly geared towards automating the existing models of supply chain. Yet another factor that influence today’s supply chains is the growing popularity of digital technologies, such as the Internet of Things (IoT), 3-D printing, robotics, blockchain and machine learning coupled with advancements in analytics.
