Talk, Learn, Do (TLD) is an evidence-based intervention that helps parents talk to their children about money.  Research tells us that money habits start to be formed by the time a child is 7 and it is essential that parents feel confident to build those habits and behaviours early on. 

This event, funded by the Money and Pensions Service launch the research report, explored what we have learned from the project, and looked at how we might build on this to ensure continued financial education and support for parents and families in Wales. It will be of interest to anyone delivering or designing financial education or support initiatives for parents and families across the UK.

It explores: 

-The findings from the evaluation including the impact that TLD in Wales has had on both practitioners and families 
- Challenges including from the Covid-19 pandemic, practical solutions and recommendations for delivering effective financial education  
- How we can embed TLD in practice and policy 
- Longer term plans to support financial education including through the 10 year UK Strategy for Financial Wellbeing, led by the Money and Pensions Service
