#Systemarchitect/#engineering operates mainly in the context of the #ART, where they work with #agileteams and provide technical enablement concerning subsystems and capability areas for an #ART. #Solutionarchitect/#engineering provides technical leadership for the evolving #architectural capabilities of the #entiresolution in the context of a #solutiontrain.

Both involve close collaboration with #businessstakeholders, #teams, #customers, #suppliers, and third-party #stakeholders in defining the #technology infrastructure, decomposing #solutions, and systems into components and subsystems, and defining and managing their interfaces and #APIs. While providing a general view of #solutionarchitecture, #architect/#engineering enables those who #implement value by empowering them to make local decisions, allowing faster flow of work and better #economics.

#Solutionarchitect/#engineering plays a similar role to #systemarchitect/#engineering, but for #largesolutions, and are focused on creating technical alignment for the full #solution rather than concerns for specific components.

Responsibilities include working with #portfoliostakeholders, #customers, #suppliers, #ARTs and #SolutionTrain #stakeholders to align the #architectural direction with the #solution intent. They have similar responsibilities for #SolutionVision, #SolutionRoadmap, #SolutionKanban, #NFRS, enabler #capabilities and #solution demo activities as well.

#Solutionarchitect/#engineering has a crucial role in pre- and post-pi planning, as well as #SolutionTrain I&A events. They also work with suppliers, making sure the #technical characteristics for supplier-delivered capabilitie s are understood and assisting with the #architectural integration of these concerns.

#Solutionarchitect/#engineering works alongside #solutionmanagement and the #SolutionTrainEngineer as part of a trio that shares much of the responsibility for the success of a #SolutionTrain.
