The egyptian vultures and other scavenger birds from the Douro Internacional now have more food available, thanks to the supplementary feeding fields created.
in Portugal during the LIFE Rupis project, in which 36,572 kg of food were deposited in 955 feeding sessions. On the Spanish side, our work with livestock farmers reinforced the idea that these birds help keep farms clean and free from disease, reiterating the importance of giving them access to food, leaving the animals dead in the field whenever allowed, as well as the implementation of activities that improve the management of extensive livestock.
