WPI researchers are creating games that use wearable technology to help middle school students develop computational thinking and mathematics skills. This new genre of embodied technologies (mobile and wearable devices that involve motion and physical activity) allows children to create augmented reality math games and play games that other students design. The goal is to advance scientific knowledge about how people learn and investigate how to teach mathematics and computing through gameplay and game design.
