An Immersive Technology App we're currently working on is utilising GeoAR markers for a Field Day companion App. Here is a quick video of some testing we did. You'll see the GeoAR pins popping up in the phones viewfinder, these are added using a CMS by entering the Latitude and Longitude, pin type and text you want the user to see. We positioned a GeoAR pin on a memorial seat out on one of our walks etc - great for tourism. On farm, this could be a tank sensor, soil probe, weather station etc.
