Alyas is a Shaw Middle School student with dreams of becoming a doctor and helping people in his home country of Afghanistan. This past spring, he joined 120 science-minded middle schoolers from 30 states at WestPoint U.S. Military Academy.
Organized by the Center for Leadership and Diversity in STEM, the program offered two days of intensive activities in science, technology, engineering and math. (Originally uploaded: 10/3/2017)
