This summer camp curriculum design is a fun, play based paddle sport and nature exploration focus. By the end of the week participants learn basic paddle strokes and maneuvers as well as safety skills such as paddle signals, self and assisted rescues and group management. In addition participants learn empathy for others and gain a greater self confidence. All this is done while learning paddle skills, safety and being immersed in the Bay and ocean ecology. All these skills are learned through a natural flow of the instructors. It is the instructions job to read their participants and environment to organically build the outline of camp each week. This format encourages individualized participant motivation, to learn and explore these new skills and environments they are exposed to.
