This session will explore the how and why of medical-legal partnerships’ integration of the unique expertise of lawyers into health care settings to help community health workers and social workers address adverse childhood experiences for at-risk youth. As part of the health care team, MLPs improve health outcomes for at-risk youth through direct services for individual patients, community education and training, and policy advocacy. The session will explain to youth professionals the importance of a multidisciplinary approach, and the possible ways it can be replicated in other settings.

- Develop basic ideas and plans around implementing a team approach to serving at-risk youth
