The animator, inventor, and pioneer Lotte Reiniger made silhouette animation films from the 1910s to the 1980s. Best known for creating the first feature-length animated film, The Adventures of Prince Achmed (1926), her career ranged across advertising, avant-gardism, fairy tales, and opera. This program of film shorts showcases carefully selected work from across Reiniger’s extensive filmography.
