Sam has an abundance of experience working with professionals in different capacities, including training TAs, HLTAs and Cover Supervisors. Although a lot of Sam’s teaching experience is within the adult education sector, she has a BA Honors degree in Early Years Education and has worked as a Teaching Assistant within the primary sector. Sam has a secure understanding of children’s behaviors and how they learn from her extensive research and has already developed a reflective mindset on her journey to becoming a fully qualified teacher; she has demonstrated how she has adapted lessons which were not suitable and used challenge and collaboration to extend pupils knowledge and understanding or specific subjects. Sam is a very organised individual, completing a Masters and PhD whilst working and juggling young children. Her drive and passion for teaching shine through when she talks about her experience so far. With regards to the National Curriculum, Sam understands different strategies, for example, a topic-based approach, and is keen to develop her knowledge further by working with other professionals. She has an excellent understanding formative and summative assessments and is looking forward to deepening her knowledge of using assessments more effectively to identify and fill gaps in learning. Sam is, without a doubt, ready to Fast Track to complete her PGCE and achieve QTS through Grad2Teach. She will make an exceptional trainee teacher .
