Matt Lindenberger Interview on Fox Business News with Neil Cavuto

Neil: For those of you who are trooping in to work of course you know the part of it is to pay for parking or to go to a garage and that actually hasn’t got any cheaper. Then there’s my next guest, Matt Lindenberger, who is with REEF Technologies and is the Chief there. He has looked into ways to try and help people out, especially those emergency and other workers who could use the reprieve when it comes to the parking and the cost of going to a garage. Matt very good to have you, how does this work?

Matt: So, we the largest parking operator in North America and we have over 5,000 locations. Our vision has always been to build the ecosystem that connects the world to your block. To do that we leverage our real estate network in our locations and enable new business models on top of those locations by leveraging our locations, staffing, and technology.

Neil: So, how do you delineate who gets the free parking?

Matt: Ultimately those types of decisions are typically left up to our customers because we are providing a service to those folks. We operate the facilities and in most cases the revenues that are being generated are actually critical to the operations of those businesses. We operate those businesses on behalf of those customers.

Neil: So, I imagine another benefit of that is that it would probably help healthcare workers, first responders, that sort of thing. But I noticed that it goes way beyond that. You are paying for up to 30 personnel, 2,000 coronavirus tests on Long Island alone and that might just be localized there. What is that about?

Matt: Thanks for asking about that. We are very committed to public, private partnerships and we believe there is a huge opportunity to take advantage of our locations and of our staff and of our technology to enable testing. We have fully funded five testing sites, the first of which is going live today in Suffolk County, New York. [It] is a drive through testing facility and we have two other sites that are going to be going live very shortly and we have two additional sites and Neil I have to say we are looking for partners to be able to work with us from the county and local level to set up these testing sites and to get testing done. We have the technology, we have the logistics, we need partners that are going to help us with this. Anyone who is watching this who can help or is interested from a government partnership perspective should email us at [email protected]. We have teams standing by to start setting up testing sites and we feel this is really, really important.

Neil: Alright, very interesting stuff, Matt Lindenberger. A lot of creative ways we are finding that a lot of companies are trying help folks here.
