Down at Moonah Links Golf Course on the Mornington Peninsula in early December 2021 was the Victorian PGA Championship where young gun David Micheluzzi seemed to have two caddies out with him across the tournament. Taking charge over the hills and through the rough was his MGI Zip Navigator motorised buggy, with the full directional remote control and gyroscope straight tracker technology proving the tech revolution is hitting the fairway.

Native to Cranbourne Golf Club and used to the greens of Peninsula Kingswood and Metropolitan, David Micheluzzi had been aware of MGI for some time but eager to take on his next tournament with the Zip Navigator. After 18 holes in the rising heat of a December morning, David told us his experience with the MGI Zip Navigator was ‘really good, especially around the legends [course] because it is so hilly. It’s so fresh. The toll [the body] takes, you don’t notice until you try the MGI [Zip Navigator]. Pulling a buggy or pushing a buggy puts a lot of strain [on the body]”.

For his golf game, David says “The [MGI Zip Navigator] makes it more fun. It’s easy to pack away. It just makes life a lot easier”.
“If you are playing really hilly courses, you don’t have to lug the bag around. You can just let that thing go and you can control it with the remote. It’s so easy.’

The ease on the golfer and control of the remote are the reasons why many are leaning towards buying a motorised buggy for one of their initial big purchases venturing into the sport, regardless of age or experience.
“Yeah, do it! It’s so good, it’s such a good investment. It’s easy to pack away, and its just easy to use. Anyone can use it.”
