PENDULUM is a title sequence design based on the short science fiction story "The Man in the Mirror" by Geoffrey A. Landis. In the story, the astronaut slips onto the nearly frictionless surface of an enormous concave mirror built by unknown alien beings, and must use the laws of physics to come up with a way to avoid oscillating in a pendulum motion back and forth across the mirror until eventually the small amount of friction brings him to a stop in the center.

This animated title sequence is my thesis work for the bachelor program "Information and Communication Design" at HSRW, this thesis is supervised by Prof. Jörg Petri and Mr. Christian Stindl.
