Alright this was my first short film so be gentle!
This was my teams submission (Team 4) as part of the 2019 Kansas International Film Festival (Aspiring Filmmaker's Competition).
The competition worked as follows: We showed up at 8am, we were assigned to a team. Your team was given a theme and a prop. Our theme was community and our prop was a green cup (you can see it in the background). We had to create a short film using both the theme and the prop to be submitted by 6pm that evening.
It was a great learning experience, we had to write the script, select locations, shoot the film, and edit it in less than a full day it was intense to say the least. I quite enjoyed it. My only regret is the cup was supposed to be magic and make people get along but alas not enough time and not enough budget haha.
I wanted to leave it mostly unaltered, mistakes and all, but I made some small changes from the original short for clarity:
1) The original music was lost so I replaced it with some royalty free music (bensound.com).
2) I just went on and added audio fx for when I was walking to the bench since its originally completely silent and stands out like a sore thumb lol.
