A woman sings a somber tune, her gaze transfixed on a photograph; memory blurs with reality as snippets of the past overlay the present. She mourns someone long gone, but being trapped in the lens of a camera extends beyond just physical loss. The opening shot of an online journal, the recording of a video at a concert, and photographs of loved ones are all attempts to capture experiences. In isolation, whether it be from distance or death, technology serves as a tool to contain and cling to the past.
