Some years ago John McFeely talked me into training to be on the fire line. Occasionally, he'll need help getting an excavator or dozer in or out of a burn. I drove his pickup truck. Interesting part of the training was learning how to cover up with a piece of aluminum foil and let the fire pass over. "What ever you do, don't come out!"
