Muted is a virtual reality experience that lets you sink below the surface of a young girl's silence. Parental abandonment has left her voiceless. In a world of her own creation, she imagines a sister. Everyday, she goes to meet her by the edge of the old village wash-house, where for hours she gazes into the bottom of the large pool. She sees her dancing through the water, allowing herself to slowly sink down into her illusions, down to the depths of herself.
With the weightlessness of a freediver's descent, this journey invites you to a hidden world far below words; a poetic, hand-drawn universe where sensation will guide you through a story where the only abuse is absence.
