Just finished work on a #voiceover with Producer/DP extraordinaire Nick Vago Productions for Mt. Hood Athletic Club.
Most of the time I trust my gut feeling on what the delivery style should be and in this case I was wrong. First run through looking at a rough draft and listening to the punchy music I was thinking cool, deep and low key for those serious about fitness and then Nick said this is a family gym so it needs to be friendly and warm and just like that the feel and connection of that delivery is exactly what this commercial needed. Lesson - be directable and always learning to provide exactly what the client needs!
