In the fifth year of collaboration with Microwave International New Media Arts Festival, WARE continued to design the exhibition experience and provide technical direction.
Named after "E.A.T.", the exhibition of the year is a discovery on what have been or could be put in our mouths, seeking possibilities from artists on food production. But it was not merely about eating - as a tribute also to the non-profit organization "Experiments in Art and Technology (E.A.T.)" in the 60s consisting of artists and engineers, it aimed to explore at the junction of art and technology.
The exhibition thus aimed to initiate a discussion with art, upon the many facets of food technology - how and what can food be made of?
How can human biologically feed other animals with itself? What are the societal roles of food, the people who serve them and the tools that are involved?

The space was designed with a futuristic industrial touch, imagining a medical standard, ultra-hygienic and laboratory- like food factory.
At the entrance, a kinetic installation was constructed, mimicking a display or manufacturing process of food.
What were hung and circulated were food supplies that are forecasted to be prevalent in the future - in the form of pills, liquid in syringes, corns and coffee beans sealed in vacuum packages.
The screen in front of the display track magnified and scanned the products behind as they circulated, along with the exhibition visuals of multiple typefaces, metaphoric to the variety of food that would be standardized and packed into a single kind of packaging. Through out the exhibition, light-permeable materials and light in cold color temperature were massively used to render an impression of a clean and almost cold environment akin to a laboratory.
