Mekar Ramadan is an audio visual interactive art installation set in the theme of Hari Raya, local Malay culture and traditions, and the Ramadan Bazaar. Set in the Grand Bazaar Ramadan Raya 2019 in Stadium Bukit Jalil, Framemotion was tasked to creative this immersive interactive experience to allow visitors to experience the merging of art and technology in a fun, accessible way. Or team of directors and artists created several projected art walls involving cascading colourful flowers, and interactive traditional Malay timber home, a wishing wall featuring the traditional Malaysian wau, and an audio-interactive wall whereby guests can sing into microphones, triggering celebratory animations.

What was initially planned as a sideshow activity for the bazaar ended up being a centrepiece for an estimated 500,000 visitors; proving yet again the power of technology to be a tool that connects people and form communities.
