Draga Ilievski is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based out of Valparaiso, Indiana. She specializes in providing exemplary patient care through her in-depth knowledge of the field. Draga’s decades of experience in the industry have grown her in the areas of counseling, patient assessment, psychosocial oncology, discharge planning and much more.

Since 2007, she has served as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Psychotherapist at a private practice she developed. She currently conducts individual, couples and family therapy sessions for adults and adolescents struggling with their mental health. Psychotherapy is a technique meant to help individuals change their behaviors and approach problems in a healthier way. Though the industry can be challenging at times, Draga takes pleasure in helping her clients make progress.

Throughout this role, Draga also works with local oncology physician offices to support the psychosocial needs of cancer patients in the community. She is trained in Radically Open Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Psychodynamic modalities and received designation as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional.

From 2011 to 2019, Draga also lent her time to Indiana University Northwest as an adjunct professor. Here, she taught a variety of courses in both graduate and undergraduate programs.

Prior to these roles, Draga Ilievski served in various roles as a social worker. She has had many career highlights over the years. In Draga’s time serving the LaPorte Hospital, she developed an Oncology/Cardiology Psychosocial program and conducted many educational sessions. She also has prior experience in providing case management, facilitating a community cancer support group, facilitating adoption proceedings and more.

As a way to grow in her career, Draga became a Certified Daring Way Facilitator. This program helps those who work with individuals, couples, families and groups.

Throughout her career, Draga has continued to stay inspired by building connections with others. Clients are drawn to therapists who show deep care for others. In Draga’s roles, she has always practiced empathy as a way to understand others. By establishing this sort of relationship with her clients, Draga has been able to make breakthroughs in them and help them tackle a number of issues.
