What distance practices emerged in secondary mathematics education during the COVID-19 pandemic? To find this out, we sent out online questionnaires in three adjacent countries in Europe: Flanders—the Dutch-speaking part of Belgium—, Germany, and The Netherlands. The survey focused on teaching practices, teacher beliefs, didactics and assessment. In this talk, Paul Drijvers (Freudenthal Institute, The Netherlands) will summarize the first tentative findings, and reflect on their meaning for mathematics teachers.
