Notre atelier est situé à Lyon dans le quartier historique des canuts, à la Croix-Rousse. La manufacture a emménagé dans le bâtiment actuel en 1881, lors d'une volonté de regrouper toute la filière de production dans un seul et même endroit.
Aujourd'hui, la Manufacture Prelle mêle tradition et modernité à travers la sauvegarde de ses métiers jacquards à bras et l'innovation technique et la création de nouveaux métiers à tisser mécaniques. Coexistant au sein d'un même espace, Prelle a une flexibilité et une possibilité de création sans égale en France.
Our workshop is located in a historical part of the city of Lyon, in the Croix-Rousse. The manufacture has moved to the current building in 1881, at the occasion of a will to gather the silk weavers under a same roof.
Today, the Prelle Manufacture is mixing tradition and modernity through the use of authentic woodden jacquard looms and through the technical innovation required to create new mecanical looms. Coexisting in the same space, Prelle has the ability to create and innovate through ways that are second to none in France.
