- One of the things I really love about Moorhead, Minnesota is the diversity that we have on this side of the river. We get a lot of people coming here to work in our universities, Concordia and Minnesota State University of Moorhead. So there's lots of thinkers, and artists, and educators, and scientists that come here and the diversity is really important to our community as well. Moorhead Public Schools has a Spanish immersion program which I'm really excited for my children to grow up learning a second language. I really love my neighborhood. We share each others lives, we share resources, we share labor. If we have a big snow storm that hits, everybody goes out to help shovel and snow blow our driveways and sidewalks. I'm a front yard gardener and so I love being out in my front yard, seeing my neighbors, sharing tomatoes, or my children love to bring flowers to the neighbor across the street. We have a really vibrant arts community here. A great association of visual artists and we have a studio crawl and the beautiful Rourke Art Gallery.
