Los Angeles Leadership Academy - COVID-19 Relief Fund

Hi everyone, I hope you and your loved ones are in good health and coping as best as possible during these challenging times. I am reaching out to you with a special favor.

In the past year I became part of the Los Angeles Leadership Academy, a dual-immersion English/Spanish elementary, middle and high school here in Lincoln Heights, Los Angeles. The demographics of our school are 92.3% Latino, and 87.5% are socio-economically disadvantaged.

As you are probably aware, due to the corona virus crisis, Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) has closed schools for the foreseeable future, which means our students are engaged in distance learning; and that many of our 600 families are struggling financially now more than ever.

We have started a fundraising campaign to provide each of our 600 families with a gift card for groceries. The more we collect, the more we can help.
