Ky Duyen’s project, Reverie delves into the world of storytelling and explores its endless possibilities in the future. “During the prehistoric period, our ancestors, despite the absence language, were able to communicate by painting various patterns and symbols on the walls. Nowadays, with the omnipresence of technology and social media, we are presented with a plethora of platforms to share our stories and communicate with people from all over the world. Storytelling has evolved over time and so has our involvement. We used to be passive spectators but with the introduction of new and exciting technology like AR and VR, we now can immerse ourselves in the same environment and become part of the narrative as it unfolds,” Ky Duyen explains the concept of her artwork for Vivid Sydney at Chatswood.
