Lauren is currently working as a Neighbourhood Manager in Residence Life & Education, at the University of Victoria. She specializes in integrated cultural programming that promotes inclusivity in schools and integrates ways of aboriginal thinking, knowing & learning for students of all ethnic backgrounds.

A dual graduate from the University of Victoria, Lauren has recently completed the Cultural Resource Management program. Her primary professional focus is in the area of historical and anthropological research, archival resource management, heritage resource management, collections management and human resources in cultural organizations. She has worked as an intern at Mountain View Conservation and Breeding centre, assisting in the development of a public outreach program. She has recently returned from overseas, where she gained experience in the education field as a native English Instructor, based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Prior to this Lauren worked as a Native English Instructor in Gaegeum, Busan-jin, South Korea. She is looking to gain experience in the education field, while establishing international connections in order to work with a dynamic cultural organization. Additionally, she is on a leave of absence from the Langley School District #35, where she has been employed as an Aboriginal Support Worker since January 2016.
