A demonstration of the Kentuckiana Sounds sound map at kentuckianasounds.org. Project created and curated by Aaron Rosenblum.

Kentuckiana Sounds is an interactive sound map and website featuring audio recordings made by members of the community, documenting the sounds of everyday life in our region. It is is a permanent, crowd-sourced online resource.

All recordings created for and submitted to the project are cataloged and uploaded to the Internet Archive, ensuring access to the resources beyond the lifespan of the project, and so that the recordings may also be found and prove useful to other artists, and as data for social and natural science research on acoustic ecology, noise pollution, biodiversity, etc.
