It’s worth it to keep fighting for your loved ones! What will give you the drive to keep getting up? I don’t need Five reasons; I only need just one! I’ve had some intense near-death events in War and my life. Many times, I accepted death to get through to the next day in combat. No matter how many times we get knocked down, we must use that as motivation and keep fighting for our loved ones! If we fall seven times, we must always stand up eight! No matter what, we must never give up!

I’ve been knocked down more times than I could ever count in my life. Being blown up by an IED from the Taliban and feeling the ripple of the explosion all the way to my cerebral cortex, caused me to blackout and leave me with serve TBI as a result. Relearning how to walk again after being shot and having a bullet rip through my flesh like it was nothing. Learning how to walk with my new titanium femur and Prosthetic shoes from the VA. Breaking my dominant wrist during the same time I was on a mission for my bachelor’s degree. Teaching myself how to use my left hand to pass the semester.

We must never accept defeat and always fight! If not for ourselves, then we must remember our why and do it for our loved ones! I will be a character animator one day and I’ve come too far to give up! I can’t wait until I can work with a team again and finally be able to provide for my future wife & family! No matter how many times I get knocked down I will always fight for us! I only need one reason to keep going! Femath Forever!
