Frei nach Kafkas Erzählung Josephine die Sängerin oder das Mäusevolk "übersetzen" Lili und ihr Mitarbeiter Thomas Kitsche einen längeren Text in ein gesprochenes Wort-, ein Lautgedicht- inszeniertes Solo für einen Schauspieler. Geschrieben 1924, als letzte von Kafkas Tiergeschichten, thematisiert Josephine die Stellung des Künstlers in der Gesellschaft, das Wesen der künstlerischen Tätigkeit und die Stimme als weder synonym noch koextensiv mit der Sprache. Durch die Verschränkung von gesprochenem Wort und Bewegung werden Kitsche und Rampre bereits etablierte Strategien zur Erforschung der Erzählstimme einer Geschichte und der Implikationen der Stimme eines zeitgenössischen Künstlers teilen und weiter ausbauen.

Loosely based on Kafka’s story Josephine the singer or the mouse folk, Lili and her collaborator, Thomas Kitsche are “translating” a longer text into a spoken word-, a sound poem-staged solo for an actor. Written in 1924, as the last one of Kafka’s animal stories, Josephine is thematising the position of an artist in society, the nature of artistic activity and the voice as neither synonymous nor co-extensive with speech. Intertwining the spoken word and movement, Kitsche and Rampre will share and further expand on previously established strategies of exploring the narrative voice of a story and the implications of the voice of a contemporary artist.
