JESUSLOVESACID as an artistic concept by Ryan O Gorman. "I was inspired by a book I read by theoretical physicist Michio Kaku called Hyperspace, the book explains higher dimensional physics. I read about how a tesseract is a device used to conceptualise higher dimensional objects, the tesseract of a cube is a cross, when you unpack a cube in the forth dimension you have the object seen on my album artwork, a kind of 3D crucifix. There are interesting parallels between higher dimensional science and spirituality and even religion, Salvador Dali illustrated this in his surrealist painting of Jesus on a tesseract of a hypercube, my album is named after that painting “Corpus Hypercubus.”

The surrealist movement Dali pioneered was born out of Dadaism, a form I’ve amusingly heard described as “weaponised nonsense”, it was an artistic movement created as a kind of reaction to the rejection of normal society after the horrors of World War 1. Being born and raised as a catholic, learning about science and art and feeling the dissonance and harmony in their relationship, these themes resonated powerfully with me and galvanised the concept. The ideas and imagery, the strong iconography all went into creating an artistic vehicle I can use to remove the persona from my music."
