Angelo left this world on July 3rd in a tragic fire that consumed his home. He was born October 10th 1943 in Tunis, Tunisia, near Sicily, Italy, where his family resided. He immigrated with his family to the U.S. through Ellis Island in 1950, settling in Monterey, California. There, Angelo graduated from Junipero Catholic High School, and worked in the family business, "Lucido's Italian Gardens Restaurant" before joining the military. He served four years as a Navy "Seabee" then moved to Chico to attend college. Angelo graduated from Chico State University with a Bachelor of Arts & Science Degree in 1976. A self-taught chef, he opened his first restaurant, the Sicilian Clan at 14th and Park, as well as Gas House Pizza. He went on to open a long line of Sicilian restaurants in Chico through 2015. Angelo was a true renaissance man; he was not only a great Chef, but built his own restaurants, was a master at pottery, sculptor, artist, and wine connoisseur. Angelo was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Theresa, sister Catherine, and brother Vincent Lucido. He leaves behind his Uncle Alfredo and Aunt Rose Russo, niece Theresa Lucido-Carr, nephews James Taylor and Vincent Ramirez, and many grand nieces and nephews. A Rosary will be held at Brusie Funeral Home on Friday, August 6th at 6:00 p.m. A celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, Aug. 8th at 3:00 pm , The ARC Park Pavilion 2040 Park Ave. Chico.
