The question of migration has been widely polarized in actual European media and politics, often lacking a depth of cross-disciplinary knowledge. (Hyper)migrations of modern humans inward and outward the continent of Europe are happening since at least 45 thousand years, and people of diverse life-style, technology and beliefs are changing in a culturally and/or demic diffused model.
Maria Gimbutas claimed that expansions of proto Indo-Europeans from the Eurasian steppes (5300 - 4500 bp) were a series of hostile military incursions where a new bronze-age culture imposed itself on the matrifocal and egalitarian cultures of "Old Europe" situated around Danube valley on Balkans. In reverse sense, the hypermigration of the Sea People from Europe contributed the Bronze age collapse of flourishing, “globalized” cultures of 12th century (b.c.) Middle East.
How can the language of art increase a holistic reading of migrations? How can we dismantle the idea of exclusive rights to land, origins, movement and customs?
