This is a manual wind watch. This is important because this watch is identifiable with it being very thin. It's a production piece that is no longer made by Rolex. It's made for quite a while. Actually. A very coveted design is this particular model, and I chose this because this one is particularly loud - when you wind it, you can, you can physically feel it and you can audibly hear it when it winds. That's not the case with all the manual wind watches. This watch is really a great watch and it's in very high demand now. It's really becoming sort of a Renaissance watch of its own, so we're going to show you how to set this watch and wind it. The most important thing to know about manual wind watches is that this crown is turned towards the 12 as all watches are, when you wind them. There are a few exceptions in the industry. We won't go into that. This crown will stop at some point. It's very important that you find that stopping point. Now, all watches vary in how many times you turn this, so we won't go into how many times you turn. This particular crown would just simply say, turn it till it stops. Now, one of the ways that I safely turn this crown and I run my finger underneath it, and you can see where it turns the crown. When you run your finger underneath it, the reason that this is safe is because once it gets fully wound, it'll actually skip and it'll, when it stops, it'll actually slide along your finger. That's a little bit safer way. Now the other way is most people feel like they need to turn the crown this way. Well, that's fine too, but just remember when you start feeling that, when you feel the bump, you'll start feeling this watch, tighten up just a little bit and you'll feel it hit the bump and when it hits the bump, you stop. Because if you don't, you can overwind the watch and you can cause the mainspring to snap. This is not true of just Rolex. This is true of Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Piaget, and just a host of other watches that use a manual line, internal mechanism. Now we'll just wind this watch and as I said, I just have to wind it right along my finger. Some people find it easier to do this. Some people do not. Some people find it easier to turn it like this. Now once you hit that bone and you hit it, it will spring back just a little bit. That's fine. Don't be afraid of the watch. You do have to find that stopping point at some point. Once you own this, watch a while, you'll be comfortable where it stops and you'll know not to over wind it. And it's not as scary as it seems. And the way that you set the watch, it's very easy. There's no date to worry about. So you simply just pull the crown out, put your fingernail underneath. That's all it requires. Figuring out underneath, pull it out. You can see the gap when you have the gap there. You just simply wind the watch for raft and set the time every how you want to set it, whatever time you need it set, and you simply just push the crown back in. This is not a screw down crown. Obviously it's a manual wind watch. You would not want to do that with this particular watch because it's not water resistant to the level that most Datejusts are, so it's splash resistant, perfectly fine to wear. If it gets dunked under water, it's not going to hurt it, but not a watch you would want to swim in again, turn the crown towards the 12th until it stops. When it stops. Stop winding. It's fully wound. Remember the power reserve on this watch is only good for about 38 to 42 hours. It will stop if it stops, wind it, reset it, but do wind this watch about once a day until you get to hit that bump. That's all you have to do to care for the watch. Enjoy your Rolex Cellini and any other manual watch that you have. They're really great. They're intimate. No other watch requires that kind of attention. I love my manual wines. This is the Rolex Cellini manual wind. #RolexWatches #RolexCellini #ManualWindWatch
