Strengthening transformational teaching strategies to improve pupils’ trajectory towards the end of KS1 standards and securing fundamental number knowledge and strategies necessary for KS2.

A six-week project led by the Herts for Learning Primary Mathematics team starting this summer for Year 1 classes and autumn 2020 for Year 2 for schools near Hertfordshire.

Options to participate in 2020:
Year 1 classes in summer 2020: The project runs with Year 1 pupils to ensure they are well prepared to tackle upcoming Year 2 content.

Year 2 classes in autumn 2020: At the start of the academic year, the project is run for Year 2 classes who did not participate in summer 2020.

Please note that to achieve the best outcomes and make the delivery of the project viable in your area, we need to work with a minimum of eight schools in each cohort.
